Want to try and cut carbs out for a week but finding it really difficult to think of stuff to make.
I hate veg so that's the hard bit.
Any ideas

Feel your pain...hate veg too lol. I found the only veg i could tolerate was white cabbage in gravy. Pretty much had this every night with either chicken or turkey for a week and did lose 2lbs x

Is there any veg you do like? Omelettes with ham, cheese, chicken etc are all full of protein. Gammon and eggs? I have Fage/total greek yogurt with fruit for breakfast. Fage has 9g of protein per 100g.

What about steak with onions, pepper sauce and carrots, or you could have fajitas without the tortilla? Or baked salmon with mushy peas, tuna and onion? Minced beef and onion in gravy?

How about the hairy bikers lasagne? Chicken curry without rice Chicken wrapped in bacon with roast peppers

I have Fage/total greek yogurt with fruit for breakfast. Fage has 9g of protein per 100g.

I used to get that as well, but it got so expensive! then I found Lidl's own greek yogurt and I think it tastes closer to proper greek yogurt than the Fage one, and is a lot cheaper too!

All of which are amongst the highest in carbs, that's unfortunate.

But if you like salad, then it's not a problem, you can skip veg altogether and have more salad instead, can't you?

Full-fat Philadelphia is a great low-carb helper, you can make cheese sauce with it, stuff it inside chicken breast around which you can wrap some streaky bacon or parma ham, cheesecakes etc... I always have a few tubs of it in my fridge!

A good way to vary meats is to go to your local Asian shop and buy some different packs of flavouring herbs (check for hidden carbs, only get the ones which contain only the spices and herbs, no fillers or sugar!) and experiment with them.

Meatballs are easy to make if you mix them with beaten egg to stop them from disintegrating during cooking, and no need for breadcrumbs to be mixed in, so it's all protein and no carbs! they're great for trying the Asian spices mix stuff I mentioned above.

Oh, and one of my lazy snacks is simple as can be: open a can of tuna chunks or tuna steak (in oil is both nicer-tasting and lower in carbs than the brine one), drain the oil, upturn on a plate, put a good dollop of home made mayonnaise, and voila. Quick and nutritious! (and minimal washing up, lol!)
