Hey :) I'm booked for November 12th for bypass, anyone started pre-op yet? I've been given two different diets; one slimfast, and one high protein. Haven't decided which to do yet, I need to ask if I can combine the two :) best of both worlds. Haha

Feeling ok but then every now and then freak out thinking what the hell am I thinking! Then I think of my kids and how much better their life's as well as mine will be once the surgery bit is over. Scared and excited, anxious and relieved all in one go.

Yes, I have told people. It will be obvious anyway and it stops all the rumours of what's going on (mainly at work) everyone has been supportive although my family are worried they know its the right thing to do. I'm not that bothered about anyone outside the family anyway as this is for me not them. As I said people have been supportive and interested in what is involved. It's a personal thing and I think each person should do what right for them. But people will always talk!

Not managed all the liquids I need yet, just having my 3rd pint of milk and not long finished a beef oxo drink. 2 weeks is a long time to be on this. I better lose weight!!! You will! No way you can't! They say the first 3 days are the worst, you'll need to remind me of that next week when I start. Wish the nerves would settle nurses never make good patients. Well keep going you know this is the first big step to get to where you want to be. Bottom line is we have to do it so keep strong and stick to the rules. Keep it up! x

You must have lost some already. Your doing really well. I'm working late shifts over the weekend so have got a couple of 4 pinters in already for Monday/Tuesday. Can't say I'm looking forward to it! Still got to be done. X

I've also got 10 days left, my first day was hard as people just kept offering me food at work (I was on nights and we all take in enough for a massive picnic!!) but after I told everyone I'm on a diet they just stopped offering and things have got a lot easier! On my scales I had lost just over 3 pounds in 3 days so I will be over the moon if I stay at a pound a day for while! Haha
