She is a funny lady with a great attitude and she is looking great with her weight loss but am I the only one who thinks the haircut makes her neck and face look craggy?

I hear you with the craggy neck thing but will keep hair a little longer to hide it a bit LOL!

I have woken up this morning feeling quite good. Had the best post-op sleep last so far (7 slightly broken hours) and my pain is much improved. No pain relief today so far. I am amazed at how quickly I seem to be recovering although being careful not overdo things and relapse as I do get tired easily.

Not long for you now - how are feeling?

Unphased...been under the knife a fair few times so not bothered. Went to Tesco's and got the choc protein shake stuff and all the different dissoluble vits etc - be glad when they stop!

What are you taking for protein etc?

PS - sorry for hijacking the thread!

The bariatric nurse advised me not to take any protein supplements but am enjoying liquidised Weight Watchers soups, actimel drinks and milky drinks so getting protein from there. My consultant doesn't advise taking vitamins until 1 month post op and then it will be forever. Every team is different and the dietary advice seems to vary with each one. My bariatric nurse and dietician are really telephone accessible so if you have any queries just give your's a call. I must be the only one to disagree. I miss the bubbly cuddly fern and think that the weight loss doesn't suit her at all. I never thought she was vastly overweight in the first place and just by being on TV she did wonders for BBW's and helping them feel good about themselves. Thats why I found it sad when she felt she had to lose the weight.

Maybe she has some medical problems I don't know, but I genuinely don't think her personality shines through anymore and now you can see every wrinkle and frown line which isn't a good look. I'm worried about that happening to me too..:sigh:

Banders can have fizzy drinks after a while. I have been told to wait till I hit sweet spot before I have fizzy drinks and then I will have to take it easy. But Fern has been banded for over 2 years so I amsure she knows what she can and can't have.

Ive been through every emotion under the sun LOL but dont think the nerves have kicked in yet... I'm sure they will though as I get closer and closer.

yea I liked her hair better longershe looks good weight wise, but I hate the clothes she wears now
