I've just had my first bath since surgery and the water squeezed past my thighs and all round the back without me doing the flipper (dolphin) flip....

How lovely when i topped up not to have to flip to swirl the water.....

Well done Julie, it's all the little things that make this journey so special x

Aww well done! I bet all these little things feel so good. I know when I lost a lot of weight years ago I was delighted that I could cross my legs! Cant now though  Keep it up chuck X

Bless it's funny when you reflect back and realise the many changes our new journey will bring, and things can only get better

Linda

yay thats fabby xx

I am soooooooo thrilled that you are experiencing these things, so many people see these things as every day events and do see how great these things are. Eight months down the line and I still have a little giggle to myself when I cross my legs comfortably and can move around comfortably in the bath hehe
Thrilled for you honey xx
Steph xx

wait until you can lean forward and turn the taps on for more hot water, or pull the plug out without having to get off your bum! Doing side buckles on your shoes is another one of many! Well done Julie, you are doing fab.

It's such a great feeling isn't it! I actually painted my toe nails this weekend for the first time in years!! :D

Bryan, i could never see me going down the plug hole lol but it's a very lovely thought :)

You are all so very right! It's great to see the numbers going down but it's little things that change our lives and if we blink we might miss them....

People without a weight problem don't realise the joys of being able to bend down and pick up something off the floor without feeling like your innards are coming up through your chest feels like..

Julie, you describe things so well. I think many of us know exactly what you mean by the dolphin flip!
Well done hun x

Oh I love posts like this one.

There are so many things that normal sized people take for granted that they have always been able to do, yet for us it's a massive milestone.

I bet it was a fantastic feeling Julie, get used to it, there's lots more to come.

xxx

Haha Julie you have made me laugh....
I know what you mean too !, ive got one of those shower baths so its bigger at one end and its funny as my hubby gets in the small end but i have to get in the wide end, its still hard work though and i still have to do the dolphin flip :) x

You have a bath you can both get in? I'm impressed, i want one too now lol xx
