hi all sorry if this has already bean asked but how long is the minimum time you should allow off work after open bypass

I've told work its likely to be up to 8 weeks. If its sooner, whoopee (well for them anyway!). It depends on how well the op goes, how your body recovers etc. Everyone is different.

Hi Julie I had my open bypass 1 week ago 14 June and I can honestly say that its only today (9 days later) that I feel quite well. I was told that I should take 6 weeks off work cause of course don't have much energy being just on fluids (4 weeks). But its only u that will be able to tell after the op cause everyone is different.
