more than likely over done it, whether you had laproscopic or open surgery it's major abdominal surgery, so you have to take it very easy to start with, rest a fair few days and don't do so much so soon, if the pain persists see your GP for advice
your not even a months post op, should you really be swimming yet ? as most providors advise 6 weeks before going in the water, try and rest up if the pain persists then contact your providor x
ive been told nothing by anyone about anything it was heresur diet sheet heres ur op see u in six week bye bye.
Im not a mind reader if they dont tell me stuff how am i suppose to no my doctors dont even have a clue i feal like ive been given the surgery then nobody wants to no xx
It does sound like you have over done it. I would just stick to walking until you are 6 weeks plus out and then try a gentle swim. I hope you feel better soon x
Oh you poor thing....that's terrible that you haven't been told these things. I was told no swimming for 8 weeks as it's one of the most strenuous activities you can put your body through. I'm 10 or 11 weeks now I think (lost count) and am planning on braving it for the first time this weekend. Be careful x
Poor you, it really does sound like you haven't got any decent support from your docs. Glad you are feeling a bit better today, definitely sounded like you did a bit too much too soon...but like you said, how were you supposed to know xx
Charley i'm at the L&D too, I phoned them up and asked when I could swim and they said as long as wounds are properly healed but best to wait until 6 week check up....You can always phone them up and ask....they really don't mind, that's what they are there for x
