As anyone had/got body/genital piercings and did you have to remove them prior too surgery?

Its only a guess but if you have to take off nail polish and take out ear rings im guessing that "other piercings" might well be asked to be removed, apart from maybe wedding rings as I understand they can be tapped over

I have my nose pierced and they just covered it with micro pore.

I have a wedding ring that doesn't come off as well as 2 piercings that I couldn't remove.

Each were taped and no issue.

100% you have to remove them chick x x x ( on my ward you do ) But ring & check with your provider

It's only jewellery that's on show because it can carry infections or something to do with touching electrical equipment. You will have underwear on and they have no business in that area, but best to check after all you don't want a plaster on there do you lol ?
