Hi Sophona. Id like to lose a stone and half. Im scared to say it actually. So over the weekend I was really busy catching up on chores that had slipped by while I was doing the surgery and recovery. My hunger and cravings grew slightly but I kept it umder control as if Im honest I was'nt sure if it was acid or hunger. Anyway today I went from the broth to the cream of veg soup. It isnt on the list but I felt really rock bottom with my energy for the first time. I put that down to the excessive running around Im doing. Anyway pored a full bowl and ate just over half. I was satisfied but as there was no protein in there, it was only 2 hours and I wanted something else. Im going to the doctor tomorrow and ask if I can add a small protein meal as well as my shakes. My weight has halted and I really believe it is because im not getting enough in. Im running on a very low deficit compared to what Im burning. Ill see what he says. I feel ready for something more substantial with a knife and fork instead of a beaker. Its been over 2 weeks now on fluids and feeling a bit fed up now.

Hi Sophina. I had my pre op today and I hope yours goes well tomorrow. I met with the anaesthetist and he said that he was rather impressed with the success rate and said that the patients were doing really well that he met. I have yet to get my date but should be the week of the 21st. I suppose that the surgeon wants to see the results of the ecograph and bloods etc. I will then hopefully see the dietician for the preop diet which I have to say I am dreading. I dont know how much weight that you want to lose but I would like to drop 17 - 20 kilos 44 llbs or thereabouts, which is why this procedure was offered to me. I think if you want to lose much more weight ie above 70llbs you may be offered something else. There is a man though in my clinic that was 230kilos and he has lost 40 kilos in 4 months, he must be sticking to the diet very well. I will say though that not all surgeons / clinics are offering this procedure at the moment so if they dont offer it check out other clinics. Where are you based? I am in Spain. please let me know how you get on and you never know we might be able to support each other.
Ho Butterflyvan. Please help, I'd really value your feedback. I'm in Benidorm IMED Hospitales and have not long come around from the anaesthetic. I'm not in any pain and am actually feeling really damn hungry. Is this normal?
