this is for someo one being banded how many days befor you able to walk for about 15/20 mins after the op i have to arrange someone to do schoolrun but not sure for how many days

Hi I know i had the bypass not the band but i was up and about within a couple of hours. i was able to do most things pretty much straight away although driving was uncomfortable and i was advised not to for 2 weeks. With 2 kids to get to school and nursery and a husband working away i had no choice but to do everything the day after the op. (not wise i would give yourself some chill time sure it makes recovery better) x

give it a few days I would say. Although I was up and about after my op, and I did do a ten minute walk to the shops on day 4 post-op it left me feeling very tired and strangely breathless. By a week after I was fine, driving and feeling much better about walking distances. I know it is individual, but be prepared for even a short walk to make you feel pretty tired in the early days post-op. Hope this helps x

it does help ty im going to meet them half way so im getting some fresh air but dont have to far to go she going away on school trip the day after so thats gona help

good luck with your op and just make sure you rest when you can and don't over do it! look forward to hearing how thing sgo for you x
