Questions for post-oppers (1) -- breakfast

Sharonimo

Sleeve to Bypass
Hi post-oppers,

I've read a lot about how important it is to get enough protein into the diet post-surgery and that meals should ideally consist of around ½ protein.

Whilst it is easy to think of lunch and dinner combinations ..... I am wondering whether (after surgery) I should consider changing my breakfast choices entirely?

At the moment I eat very typical either (a) cereal (Alpen or Bran Flakes), or (b) 2 slices of toast.

==============================

Do some of you change to a more *protein* based breakfast, eg eggs (boiled, poached or scrambled) ...?

What other high-protein breakfast options are there other than eggs ...?

I'm sure alittle bit of lean bacon wouldn't hurt.....???

Burgens soya & linseed bread is high in protein, so you can still have toast. Use a protein based topping such as peanut butter, cheese, egg, meat or pate.
