Liz - I understand the joke was meant in fun but I dont think its fair to make the comments like you have. To say "hell you gonna cope post op ?" Is totally wrong of you. I dont think its right you pass comment on someone elses ability to cope post op. This website is designed to help people and thats why I am sure we are all members, those comments dont help anyone.

If you dont like someones post, just ignore it and click off the thread......

easily thanks . none of your buisness anyway. wtf didnt sound like a joke to me. some joke telling me i started a thread for nothing which is basically what youve done. you dont know me ive coped with loss of hubby and my horse 2 weeks later moving out on my own so op hah nothing that one. you get a grip!!!!!!

thanks mark,yeah im overly sensative but i cant help that. i know i can cope with op god this last yr has been the worst of my life but hey i got through the other side and i can tell anyone the first night i didnt think id see the other side of the weekend. im sorry if ive upset anyone but thats how it is. thankyou mark big hug to u.xxx

Sorry people i have to agree with Liz on this one, i dont always agree with Liz over everything though this time like Liz i'm a little concerned about how your going to cope post op Mandy, and before the gang rips into me i'm not being nasty either, i've walked the walk and understand the issues your going to face and its evident your not in the right place to over come these yourself, ask yourself how your going to manage when your woofing up food down the loo because you've over eated post op and your pouch is hurting, or how your going to cope when you get something wrong and you have your first 2 hour bowl movement, and god forbid you dump, your going to think your whole world is ending.......sorry i know it sounds very negative what i'm saying but i'm worried Mandy !

Mandy this is a prime example of what people are saying - someone's said something you dont like or dont want to hear and your throwing your toys out of the pram ! Life isn't all fluffy and nice, the reality of this op is that its going to be hard and uncomfortable and your going to really have to be strong and focussed, if your going to quit every time someone points at you then your not going to make it !

Remember a bypass isn't just for Christmas its for life !

Mandy has gone through so much this last year, and to be honest this is what I thought this site was for Support and so on. It doesnt matter to me what the thread is about so long as we give mandy and others like her the support that she needs then so be it. I agree. If Mandy feels the need to post anything as long as it is within the minimins forum rules, then she should be allowed to and feel like she is welcome to.

We all cope in different ways and if this is Mandys way of coping, then she should be encouraged to do what she feels is right for her.

Nobody is forcing you to click on anything she posts or forcing you to reply.

I think we just need to be a bit more understanding to how someone else feels, we might not use this forum in the same way she does, but lets allow her to use it in the way she gets the most out of it.....

Surely nobody can hold that against her?

As for the "Mentally not ready comments" Its not for you, me or anyone else on here to comment on that. Mandy as we all have will go through psych testing etc and if that deems her ready, then she is!

Im sure she understands this is a lifelong commitment, lets just try and stick behind someone that obviously needs our help at times.
