Recovering whilst looking after baby

Hi

I am considering having a sleeve, and wondered how people with babies have coped after surgery?

My baby is 6 months now, and will be 10 months when I have the op, so heavy and will need carrying about a lot. My mum will have him during the day, but I am worried about picking him up out of his cot and carrying him to his car seat etc.

How have you mummies coped, as the guidance is to not lift anything heavier than a kettle!

Any advice would be great, thank you xxx

I can't comment about bariatric surgery as I've not had mine yet but I had a c-section when I had my daughter and although I couldn't drive for 6 weeks I still had to be doing everything else and a newborn baby is heavier than a kettle! And carry the carry cot down stairs etc. Just try to protect yourself as best you can when you have to pick him up. Can your partner do the night time stuff until you are more healed?
