I found being propped up with a V pillow helped me no end. It was about a week to 10 days before I could comfortably sleep on my side again though. I didn't take any painkillers after 2 days post-op so can't help on that one sorry, but each day does get easier I promise x

Nothing wrong with feeling a tad sorry for yourself now and then you have been through an operation, I feel lousy today was sent home from work sick yesterday and I feel sorry for myself but things will get better for both of us....keep your chin up hun....Linda x

I sleep on my side or on my front, within a few days of trying to wedge myself up or into a position where i couldn't roll over i gave up and slept as normal, i didn't really have any pain and now 4 weeks post op am sleeping fine on my front.
I gave up the pain meds 1 day after leaving hospital, i didn't really have any pain at all so didn't think it worth taking them.

Hi Hun how you feeling today? I am unable to move my neck very far, I suffer migraines and thought when I started with bad pains in my neck on wednesday prior to any headache that it was just a different way for the migraine to start. However, its now nearly five days later and my neck is in agony, have taken pain killers, had hot water bottle on it and hardly slept last night for it. I can't even keep my chin up as it hurts my neck lol....if I was a horse they would shoot me and put me out of my misery......have a lovely sunday everyone...Linda x

Oh Linda hun, sorry you not feeling great. Have you seen your GP? theres nothing worse than having back or neck pain. I hope it eases soon xx

I found that lying on my side with a pillow under it and another between my knees was great. Was pretty much able to lie on my front after about 2 weeks so the sleepless nights didn't last that long.

I took codeine and paracetamol (dissolvable ones) for a week they really seemed to ease the pain. Take care and i hope you get a more restful nights sleep xx

Thanks Tammy I have an appointment booked with GP tomorrow but feel awful going with neck pain, just going to have a bath to see if that will ease it, my legs are aching as well now and I have developed the runs! Not good....Linda x
