soft diet-2 weeks post op.

Yes! If you're struggling with purée how is soft food going to be any better?! If you just mean you're bored then tough I'm afraid, we've all had to do it and its a very short period compared to the rest of your life. Why would you want to risk it?
 
Oh and if you're only 2 weeks post op you're lucky to be on purée, most of us do at least 2 weeks liquid first.
 
I agree to early. Try having mash with pureed mince meat with gravy or chicken in white sauce pureed. They taste great
 
You could even try mash with parsley sauce or cheese sauce. I used to love that when I was on purée stage.
 
My team actually say that the stages are not written in stone, and progression is based on individual tolerance and common sense. I'm sure your dietician or specialist nurse wouldn't mind you giving them a ring to discuss how you are progressing. I would err on the side of caution until you get professional advice.
