Surgery brought forward!!!!

Thanks Tangled, it was a weird birthday haha, my lovely colleagues baked me a lush looking choccy cake and of course I couldn't partake at all but it smelt yummy! Sophia how's your pre-op going hun? I'm end of day 2 now, no particular problems just a tad sick of milk already. My team have advised that we do a few days on milk then maybe switch it up a bit and have 1 day on low fat soup to mix it up a bit so going soup shopping tomorrow haha, after my pre-op of course :) x

SOPH has had disappointing news that her surgery has been postponed due to blood test result issues..... poor thing x

Absolutely gutted! I genuinely cried for hours. Seems daft really but I have had my hopes built up so many times by doctors and they just bring it crashing down again. I am angry with my GP because I have been in numerous times about my continuous infections, and had an immunologist write to them and they just refuse to refer me every time. I'm also angry at the hospital as I have told them on every occasion about this and my bloods have shown a constant infection and they still went ahead and booked my surgery etc.

As you can imagine I have not stopped eating since they told me ... I am normally such a positive person but this has knocked me for 10 and I know that's daft. They've said it depends on what they find is wrong with me as to whether they will operate all together! :-(

Glad you are all doing well though and thank you for the support! Xx

Aww Sophie that's awful. I had a similar situation last year where I was getting a UTI every month without fail. I'd finish one course of antibiotics and start the next. I felt unwell all the time, was having way too much time off work and they wouldn't do a damn thing about it. I kept asking to be referred to a specialist and all they kept saying to me, is that the only specialist they could refer me to was a Urologist (or however you spell it haha) and he just looked at me and said 'i can refer you to them but all they can do is surgery, and that's not what you need'…all I wanted was some help and answers. But thankfully that's all cleared up now and minus being overweight so lacking energy I am in good health :) Sophie don't lose hope hun, what have they said is the next stage? X

They are awful. I have had every infection you could name. Even ones that as someone who has never had a baby or carried one shouldn't get (mastitis). I just hope they find out what it is and it isn't something too major. Xx

Fingers crossed for you chicken, good luck :) x
