i first saw consultant in late oct my funding was granted on 9th december andwas put on the waiting list 23rd dec

Wow that was quick. I was referred initially in 2007 to a gastric specialist regarding a bypass and gall stone surgery for a medical condition as well as weight gain, he referred me to a colleague at Royal London Hospital who I saw and he transfered me over to St Barts hospital whre I saw the surgeon who said he would refer me to another colleague at another hospital where they had just set up a specialist dept, that was Homerton Hospital. I was accepted there early in 2008, but because of loads of tests that I need for other health problems I still have not been given a date.

My next appointment with them in in March, I'm getting really restless now

i bet you are i'm getting impatient and i haven't even waited half the time you have. I got my 1st pre op on 27th feb, I gotta have my gall bladder removed at the same time as i got gall stones

Same here Tesmarelda, have got gallstones too. they originally said they would do them seperately, then together, then seperately. Then they said i would have bypass then gallstones. then they said gastric band first, then gall stones, then maybe bypass. Then last time we spoke they wernt sure what way round they would do it.

I want bypass caz I have other digestive problems that a bypass should eraditcate, I also want both done at same time.

Sooo frustrating.
