Hey,
I just wanted to ask how long did your journey take from first appointment till surgery?, Also I have heard that If you have a higher bmi you get surgery faster is this true?
I'm 17 years old going to be 18 in May and have a bmi of 59.

Mine took around 9 months I was 24 and my bmi was 61 x

What hospital did you get your surgery done from? Iv only had one appointment and i got my second appointment in May and it's been 9 months since, I do have a high bmi but I'm only 17 going to 18 in may, maybe that's the reason why it's taking long? X

Mine was at homerton- it could be I'm not sure on age restrictions for wls patients x

I dont know it just says a paediatric which is a adolescent doctor but I think I will be having a multidisciplinary meeting because I have had my one stop assessment do you know what they are going to do in the multidisciplinary meeting I think it's called a mdt x

@Aliyah its where all of the staff come together, surgeon, dietician, psychologist etc to determine whether you are a candidate that will benefit from and make it through the surgery low risk etc. X
