Week Four Weigh-In

2lbs off :(

I am not happy at all with that. I would expect to lose 2lb on an average WW's or SW diet, but eating as little as I am and with the bypass ????

Well I suppose it is 2lb down and not up :sigh:

It will happen Karen, I'd be glad to be losing 2lbs a week... plus you don't want it dropping off you too fast and making you feel listless and lacking in nutrition... keep plodding on slowly but surely, healing and building yourself up... you are doing very well.

Love and hugs xxx

Karen, I think I would feel the same once I have my op (18 weeks time wohoo!) and feel quite dispondant. Then reading what Bev just said, actually makes sense doesnt it! Better off than on chick x keep going...

I know I've only just had my op so don't have any post-op experience, but try not to be too despondant...I agree, better off than on. Weigh-in days can have such a precarious effect on our mood for the rest of the week, but so many things can affect how much we lose. You say you are not eating much, could that be the problem? TOTM? It will come off, try not to beat yourself up as a 2lb loss is very respectable xxx

Angie hun it's been TOTM since the pre-op diet :(

Five periods now in that time with a break in between of 2-3 days.

OMG, poor you hon :hug99:. If you are anything like me, I swell up like a poison pup about a week before & during my period, that may well explain why you aren't seeing the weight loss you expected. It's all the adipose tissue releasing eostrogen that is messing everything up, I am positive things will settle down for you soon. Don't despair hon, things will get better xxxx

karen,

Im like you..I am going to find it hard when I lose 1/2 lbs on some weeks...but at least we wont become poorly..and lose our hair if we lost our weight too fast

xxxx

are you taking your vitamins better now?

I'm taking all my tablets well except the forvical (mulit vit). I'm not taking that at the moment because the dietician said not to worry about it just yet.

I looked at some chewable ones in Asda the other day but I need to take in the box for the forcival to see what is covered and try and match it up.

our bodies are so strange Karen, i had a gain very early on, but keep chipping away, the bypass is here to stay, make friends with it, and watch the weight come off, there will be good weeks and not so good weeks, we are here to share them all with you
xxxxx
