Your body is a living machine , it will adjust to you not eating much and try and conserve some energy for when it needs it.
Dont worry about the wieght stopping . Try and stick to healthy eating or fluids which you should be on or soft foods and it will all start going again soon.

Just a small edition when you had the operation you would be filled with fluids from drips . so the weight loss to start with would be the fluids going . so thats why you noticed a big loss.

Weigh your self remember the reading it would be better to use digital scales does really matter if the are correct or not just remember what it says.
Then stay away from them as hard as it may seem to And weigh your self again the week after. And try to do it at the same time of the day.
Its best to do it in the morning as that when your lightest and you will feel better
