What is normal weight loss

WOW congratulations on your loss, I dont have much experience cause I am only 2 weeks pre-op (Ive lost a stone) including the pre-op diet and now liquid stage.

There is no 'normal'

It all depends what operation, how big you were before, how much restriction etc etc.

There couldn't possibly be anything classed as 'normal'

There is an 'expected' target loss, with a sleeve in the Sheffield area of 50-70% of your excess body weight in the first 12-18months. So it's all a bit vague.

Are you worried you're losing too much or too little?

Three stone is a lot of weight to drop, however if you have quite a bit to go then you probably would have a good loss. If you are concerned then speak to your team... A forum like this is a great place to ask questions, but if you have concerns always speak to your professional xx

Good advice given so far....define 'normal'?! It's impossible! If realistically this is the first time in a long time you have rigidly stuck to a diet, and you have quite a bit to lose, then while 3 stone seems a bit alarming in such a short space of time, this is evidently normal for you. Like Mixxy says, unfortunately, soon enough this rate will almost definitely slow down or even stop on occasion. If you are being monitored and you feel ok, then chances are you will be ok. If you are worried, do as Julie suggests & contact you Dr/health care provider.
