Hello there

i know alot of you out there have had procedures etc........(banding/bypass/ds/sleeve, etc) i was just wondering what is the most common reason for not given an op???

If anyone has anything to share etc, experiences etc i would be grateful if you could share......

All the best and have a nice weekend - mejulie xx

I guess one of the most common reasons if you are NHS would be that you do not satisfy your local PCT's criteria in someway.

the only reason i know is if your bmi doesnt meet there guidelines, or your area doesnt fund weight loss surgery.

i dont know of anyone who it has happened to, but i was scared when i was told funding could be pulled if i put weight on between my initial appointment and my first pre-op appt? i know thats prob not what you mean but sorry no other answer!! x
