Whittington bypassers, need some info please!!!

Thanks for all the great info Caroline and Judy, Amy thank you for telling me about the education session, I did speak to Kirsten a month ago (phoned her querying a letter I had ) While on the phone to Kirsten I told her my worries about sitting so long at session, she put my mind at rest and also said I could fetch someone with me.
I had visions of loads of us sitting in a big hall listent to lectures, she did say I had to go through all the canteens to get to where I need to be. Kirsten also said that when we have a break have what you fancy even if its chocolate, she added that people think they must get fruit and everyone turns up from the break with fruit in their hand.
Im one of these peeps that likes to know everything even the worst because it can prepare you, so thank you to everyone and thanks to your goodself Amy for letting a few of us jump on board your thread.

Are we all Whittington peeps?

Amy, I phoned the Number on my referal letter and asked to be put through to Kirsten, they gave me her mobile number and I eventually left her a message (kept getting answer machine) anyway she got back to me the next day and I had a lovely chat with her it was like talking to an old friend..I will try to find the Mobile number for you, Not sure where I put it but will have a look..

It was the end of the summer term when my GP said have you considered wls?

It was September before I said Ok I'm interested.

Later that year, I saw an underling and ~very breifly~Mr Hashemi.

The next SRING! I had a referral to see a Dr Gallaher @ St Annes, She thought a binge eating CBT group would help me.....

then nothing......

till I think Mr Hashemi left. Kirsten took over organising/co~ordinating and I started a 12 week course of CBT and I think it was spring AGAIN

They refered me for another 18 week course

In the mean time I had a sleep study, asked gp for funding, did a group education class with Kirsten and varios apts with Mr Heath

And here we are spring again, well no summer now and Mr Heath he says yes

I'm not sure but I think that's about 4 years. Funding was absolutely painless for me, never even had to think about it. I wanted to share, but figured if I told everone all that, folk'd be so demorallised. So take it with a pinch of salt, I clearly wasn't in a hurry! But I am frankly staggered how quickly some prople go thru it all. So decisive!!! But that's me all over about as woolly as an arran sweater!

BTW ladies... saw Mr Sufi yesterday and showed him this site which he is aware of and reads the comments about the Whittington! So there you go - the Head Honcho is officially interested in our ramblings! Will suggest he joins as a member but think he would be inundated! Dont think he has the time either!

oh dear, i hope no one has had anything horrible to say about dr sufi!!! Although i have only ever read good, only Lorna and dr heath ever seem to be cursed! Wish i was on dr sufi's list!!!
