Why do i feel like this

Hi guys I need to hear from people who have had surgery from Dolan park

I don't know why but when I saw them this week i went away still with concerns I know this is anxiety kicking in as well as I am scared I will not llie I know it would possibly be the same with another provider plus I really can't afford an extra 1 or 2 thousand pound to go somewhere else I want the after care which is what they have promised I need to lose 10 pounds before op otherwise I would need to pay an extra £500 and have done at another hospital

I am thinking of going on Cambridge pre op to get this off and get best possible chance

I will put 150% into my band expecting the band to do the rest i have just bought the book recommended to me of the 8 steps of success by the guy in Australia I think Paul o,o'brien

What impressed me about the hospital group is they do a lot more banding ops they look very clean and the aftercare good however when I saw them it was as though I was scared to ask things as sometimes I felt like I was being looked at in a way as though why am I asking this this is most possibly just me I know

I am going away on 8th July on a hen weekend and vow to be good straight after and before I go to lose as much as possible

I am also not happy that work will not pay me as sick leave unless they had letter to say doing this for my health nothing more however thg will not do this as selective and not allowed and my only hope is my gp but worried he won't

Above all at the moment I am impressed with thg but very nervous and so want to go to a good place for after care not just a nice place to go to

i was originally booked to have surgery last november at Dolan park, i started to have doubts and reservations about what i was doing and cancelled a week pre op.
3 days ago i had my op locally at a spire hospital.
i dont think my reasons for cancelling were specifically about dolan park, it was more to do with me not being mentally ready for the op.
it was nice getting the op done locally though as that was one less thing to worry about. makes follow up appointments much easier too.
with regards to sick leave from work, i am going to ask my GP to do a certificate stating post op recovery. am not planning to tell the boss my reason for being off.
i wish you heaps of luck with this journey. if you are mentally ready to do it then you will be fine.

i got my deposit back without any trouble.
please dont let me put you off dolan park though. i have not had a bad experience with them, it just wasnt right for me at that time.
if you feel emotionally prepared then go for it....if not then dont. you can always rebook when you are ready. its not so easy to undo the surgery.

Tbh Hun I looking at healthier weight bear to me my work and they specialist solely on obesity I used them before when I was on a weight loss programme they were really good xxx
