wieght gain

I couldn't agree more with this point of view, it may seem harsh but its realistic and why put more weight and pressure on your already suffering body. I've been on weightwatchers since I was referred and I've lost a stone which is brilliant, its 1 less stone to worry about after the op. Stay optimistic and don't binge! xxxx
have to agree too.

ive lost weight but thats the stones and stress nothing said last week. lost 13ilbs since may which i thought was a lot but hey

I think i have to say well done Mandy on this .... even with stress and whatever, just think what you will be achieving with the op having taken place.

I had my first appointment in January and was told to lose "some weight". Naturally that was too loose a guide for someone with my rubbish willpower and when i went for my second appointment in May i had put a stone on.
My consultant was not impressed and gave me a stern talking to but told me that if i had managed to lose the stone i had put on by my next appointment, i would be put on the list for the op.
Again, between May and now i have kept putting off starting the diet and then began to panic as time is running out, so i started a VLCD to shift the weight. My dietician said she doesn't like long term VLCD's but it will be okay for up to a month (also started the xenical again too)
I was a bit disappointed at first as i felt that i had let myself down but since taking control of the situation i feel much more positive. I might not reach this target in time but i am trying and hope that this counts for something when i go back to the hospital.
I'm not sure if your hospital has the same process but our surgeons said that if we didn't reach the goals they set us then we would be sent to see the psychologist and have to go back a step and be set the goal again, so it would effectively just delay the process.
Hope it works out for you.

I am waiting for second appt's from which i will go for my op, hopefully! A few weeks ago i realised that my knickers (don't laugh) which were very comfortable were now snug! Reckoned i've put a few pound on since my July appointment. So me and my soon to be husband went off to a slimming group i found very successful a long time ago and hopefully when i go back in December (touch wood, bloody WM) i will be a few lb's lighter.
