yeh i would agree with bob, i did the chicken pre op diet, i put herbs n lots of garlic in some water then steamed my chicken in there it was yum i used to look forward to it!
but dont give up trying u will get there x
just rang wendy and she siad its normal, there is a circular staple at the junction in that area and it will prob be a muscle spazam and my nerve ending being sensative, it happens to about 5% of ppl, and just said to take soiuble paracetamol, every 4 hrs and it should be gone in a few weeks...
ah thanks bev, r u getting on ok with yours, i just had my staples out yesterday but the big one opened a little so went back n had some sterri strips put on, other than that n the burning im managing well x
hi i recently had my bypass on the 1st feb, all went well but now i am getting a burning pain (internal) below my belly button to the left, the surface area is knumb, is this normal? has anyone else had it or do you know what it is pls anyone.......
My husband is in a bit of a panic x
hang in there, i used to think, how would i feel if when i woke up the surgen had said 'sorry mrs bates but we were unable to do the surgery as you liver was not small enough'
keep going, if beeing slim was easy we would not be on here with all these fab friends xx

Today I am 1 week in from having my bypass on the 1st, it all went well and I am getting abit better day by day, I do get a little short of breath, and normally have aprox 100mls for meals, I want to ask people (I know everyone is different) but how long did they have off...
i think its just called the low calorie diet, its
breakfast- 1-2 eggs plain or slimfast
dinner - clear consomme
tea - 1 grilled or steamed chickenor white fish
+ 5 portions of fruit or veg
same diet just for 14 days

-6.5 thats a fab start! i am excited but also scared alittle, are u doing yr diet for 3 weeks?
thanks for all the advice everyone i go to the gym3 times a week any way n do onaverage of 20 mins running on the running machine so will have to do the extra on the other days!
