Going strong @jeff20stone! Well done!!!!!
I'm hitting the gym these days too. Loving it! I'm a Zumba queen and am four weeks into the couch to 5k program. So much easier without all that excess weight to drag around. Have persuaded my OH to go to ballroom dance classes with me! First lesson...
Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well. I've been on holiday for a couple of weeks so eating was all over the place. Had a few wines and a few too many treats. Was amazed when I got back that I'd still lost a pound! I guess it can't have been too bad and I did do a lot of exercise - biked...
Hi @paulam, yes I'm able to eat a lot more now. I'm sure that's normal though am also aware that it's easy to stretch the pouch so trying to be careful.
Same size as when you got married! Nice!!
I'm losing, slowly but surely. Had a crap couple of weeks with work and ate a few comfort foods. But am getting past beating myself up. I didn't lose in those two weeks but I'm still lighter than I've been in 25 years :) Feels good.
Looking at the thread today for the first time in a while. So great to see everyone doing well and doing their gym bunny stuff! I'm inspired!!
I've been struggling with gall bladder type problems but think I now have it licked. Had a couple of weeks where I had severe pain about ten minutes...
I see a few of us have been on a stall. Me too. In fact it kept me away from here thinking I didn't want to spread my being a misery guts. Perhaps this is just normal. I also spoke to my dietician. In fact sort of spat the dummy a little (a lot) because my fisrt appointment with him had been...
Know what you mean. If I only eat three meals I don't get the calories (or protein) in. Do you have mid-morning or afternoon snacks? Was using ufit protein shakes to top up on calories and protein but I've started slightly dumping with them. Though I think it's the lactose rather than the sugar...
Oh dear! I know the feeling. But last few days I've had a tummy bug. I was sort of pleased to get things moving again! TMI?!? Who knew a tummy bug would be a welcome thing. ;) You need to invite lots of germy children into your house. Lol. But seriously, I hope it gets easier. It's miserable.
Not surprised you have a difficult time facing the hospital visits. I know I would. The bypass makes some kind of sense given the gastroparesis as the stomach won't actively have to let the food out, it just sort of slips out by itself. Sounds like you have good questions to ask. I'd also be...
So sorry to hear you've had such a tough time. I've also experienced lots of laparoscopic surgeries, for endometriosis and other gut problems - every time was meant to be THE cure. So I'm now very sceptical about repeated surgeries for me and wonder what it is they think they will fix by giving...
Hi Chill, yes I do get dumping when I forget to be careful. Happened a few times over Xmas but it's not too bad. Makes me feel yuk for about an hour and I need to lie down. I'm learning what makes it happen and where my
Limits are. I'm sure it's different for everyone. The closer something is to...
Hi Pam, Jeff, physically its straightforward, they use the reaidual stomach from the sleeve and do a normal bypass.
Pam, the reasons were mainly that the sleeve just never quite worked for me as it should have. Partly the sleeve itself was on the large size. Of course it was smaller than my...
