6 stone to lose - speed and skin!

hi all - bypass is on 28th feb - can anyone give me any idea on how long this can take and how bad the loose skin can be? many thanks

The op is normally about 2 hours ish (give or take) if you have laproscopic ! open is longer

Excess skin can be a real problem, though depends on the amount you have to lose and how fast you lose it.

Had op in September and it took about 90mins. Lost six stone so far another stone to lose I thought my stomach would be a problem (especially after 5 children) but that is not too bad. However, my legs looks like a pair of sharpei dogs they are so wrinkled. My arms are borderline. I thought when I go on holiday I would, for the first time in many years, be able to wear a swimming costume. yes look ok in the costume but will wear one of those tassled sarongs to hide the top of my legs-so not so bad.

Loll, im in the same place as you are.....but the skin on my tummy is quite bad, legs look a mess!!! but all in all, happy I had the surgery and lost the weight.

When i'm 2 years post op i'm checking into one of those top centres in LA and getting the lot done in one hit, i'll end up looking like the invisible man on his day off but at least it will be done........ thinking of going for the full Brad Pitt make over !

No worries i'll get shel done first and we'll see how she turns out

Could negotiate a group discount and we all go together, might even be able to get our surgery done in Vegas, then we can do a little gambling whilst we are recovering post op

ohh never been to a casino before, you would think living in london i was immersed into that whole thing but some glamour after the surgery when we are all looking our finest... err Richard you of course will have to be patient and watch us shop lol as we will need new glamour clothing for such a night out

i know Shel - its either Ange or Brad, and i'd preffer to look like Brad, personally i've just got rid of my boobs and i'm in no hurry to get them back

oh well if your not interested i'll just have to take sage instead

where exactly are you going for it? it may be worth a google search for future reference. is it cheaper over there also?
