Good luck on Monday. let us know how it goes. I was surprised when I got the pre-op diet sheet. I thought Id be on some faddy diet that would make me heave but it looks doable.

hi every one,
well i went to my appointment at murrayfield,
watched a video on different surgerys,
seen a dietition,
seen a surgeon,
it has been decided that a gastric bypass will be the best
option for me which i had wanted anyway so thats good,
and i was given a sheet with the pre op diet on,
its a low fat one so not to bad.

i now have to wait for a appiontment to see a anethatist
which i am informed should not be long.

feeling happy about it and how it went,
so just waiting now for a phone call or a letter.xxxx

I feel Exactly the same Lynda. I have learned so much on here. No question seems too silly. There are some fab people on here who are really friendly and helpful.

I really wanted my Op before Christmas, didn't want the temptation, but Ive waited this long, can wait a bit longer. Boy has this process taught me patience.:8855:

well i have got my second appointment date
for murrayfield for the 10th jan,
fingers crossed it all goes well,
then thing hopefully should
go fast leading to my opp date,
just get christmas over going to try not
to over induldge to much so my liver doesnt go to big
as i have a fatty liver so i belive.
any way i am really happy thing are moving in the right direction. xxxx

Hi LJ, I saw the consultant for a suitability etc chat then I had an appt at the hospital to see the dietician, bloods,ecg etc and then I went in for the bypass op.
Good luck and don't be worrying - its not good for your body

Hi everyone , spoken to murryfield today and told them about my results for sleep apnea test which where negative , so good news
Murryfield said they will get the results my fax , then they will call me with a date for Jan all systems go for the new year ,
