hi, after my op i stayed in recovery for a little bit as theyd given me alot of drugs and i wasnt waking up quick enough, then they put me on the ward and i woke up to my visitors looking at me haha. mine was a general ward so i had 3 old ladies, a young ish lass and a middle age woman. all in for different things
I went to hdu and then the ward because of my sleep apnoea/asthma. As the anaesthetic can affect breathing if your breathing is risky that could be one reason why, as HDU offers a higher degree of monitoring than the ward.
Hi everyone,
I was done in a private hospital (NHS Patient), i was taken from recovery to my own private room, i had no cathetar, just a drip and an oxygen mask. I also had no pain ever (still havent) so i didnt even have morphine.
Maz x
wow!! really strange to even think back to the op now.... but I had a great operation, and woke up to someone from the weight loss forum holding my hand lol.... and not a lot of pain I have been so lucky.....xxx
