Any banders in their teens?

I would really appreciate being able to talk to someone who has had a band in their teens or early twenties. I'm finding it very hard at the moment, especially the mental effect that the views of my generation are having on me! Even my friends.

I'm 18 and I had my band 10 days ago on may 5th. I thought the same as you which is the reason I didn't tell any of my friends because I knew they would think that I was taking the easy route or something.

Hi, I'm 20 and had my gastric band in December, it is difficult and for that reason I have only told 4 of my close friends and family as I know they understand and would support me regardless.
My weightloss is slow which is good for people not questioning it however family and friends still expect to see me loosing 2lb a week which just isn't happening for me. Anywho I'm here if you want to talk
