Any Bypassers needed a Blood Transfusion?

Just wondered if anyone needed a blood transfusion.

I have heard blood loss can be a complication for Bypassers.

in honesty, it's not something i've thought about, if i do need one so be it, if i don't again, so be it, one of these things we cant control i guess, out of our control, so i don't worry about it

I'm not sure what you mean about a transfusion being a complication. Its the problem that arose meaning you needed a transfusion in the first place that is the complication, IE internel bleed.

I had to have about three pints one night after a post op bleed and know that Topsy also had a transfusion just after her op. It happens but is rare.

Blood loss is listed as one of the complication that can occur during or after the op.

It was one of the things that I was told might happen during surgery but its very much a 'might' rather than de rigour - dont worry!
