I think it ridiculous. Plus they'll gain the weight back once it's removed.

Instead of these ridiculous, extremities, why don't the medical profession deal with the mind, and the reasons behind why most people overeat?
I know for me, as much a I do love food, the majority of the time that I overate was as a form of self punishment, and a way to comfort myself when I felt emotional.
If my mind would have of been dealt with, I never would have had to have the life threatening operation that I did.
As much as I'm very grateful for my surgery, I still struggle with eating from time to time as the mental side of my food issues we're not covered by my gastric bypass.
It's something that I will have to fight against my whole life, as well as be baffled as to why I cannot stop abusing myself with food.

alot of the why weight type groups have councellers that will talk you thru stuff if you speak to your gp they may be able to put you forward for it

That is crazy, I can't see how that will work. If people can still gain weight after a sleeve op then surely you will gain the weight back and go back to eating normally again after the patch is removed. The diet he is talking about sounds like an early version of the Liver Reduction Diet that some of need or needed to do pre op for the sleeve or bypass.

I can only liken it to a cheese grater in your mouth, grating your mouth every time you eat !!
must admit i checked the date when i saw the article ... nope not april yet.
Think i'll stick with my bypass
