anyone else had this really long lasting cold?

i've had a bad cold for two weeks now and am still boiling hot with a bad cough and the sniffles. I'm starting to get a bit worried because my pre-op is on the 31st. Someone told me today that their gp is calling this the 100 day cold because it's lasting so long in most people.

The only good thing is that i'm eating less because I can't taste anything.

I seem to have escaped the lurg - but my 16 yr old daughter has had a cold for nearly 3 weeks now - we thought she brought it back from Berlin - but maybe not!! She was sent home from school on Friday with a splitting headache

Yes, I've heard about it from someone esle.

I had flu and was bedridden in November for 2 weeks, continued coughing for several weeks after and still have dodgy sinuses and chest despite taking antibiotics

I'm also due my wls in the next 3 weeks so just hope my chest has stopped rattling by then!!!
