The hospital I'm having my wls at hasn't sent me for sleep test my gp has send me to my local hospital. It's because I actually think I have sleep apnea rather than I be in a hoop to jump lol but I suppose they would of made me do it anyway so jus one less thing to wait for if I get it done now else where.

As for my op I originally wanted a band before I really looked into the other procedures. I'd never even heard of the sleeve but funny enough thats the procedure I'm going to ask for as I feel it's the best for me and from what iv researched I feel it's the best option.

But everyone is different and all I can advice is that research research research and then make a lost of all the pros and cons and side effects and complications and see how each procedure works in different ways and that will help you decide.

Suppose my surgeon could say I can only av bypass and I'd b dissapointed but I'd take his advice so choose what's best for you and tall about it with your surgeon and the team.

Who's your next appointment with ?? What hospital are you with again

Kirsty xx

That's a good idea knock a bit time off your journey. Mine was done in the 3 months that they give you to loose your weight loss target so not added anytime on. My appointment on Friday is with consultant/surgeon to see of I've reached my weight loss target. Im with sunderland hospital I'm hoping for the bypass dietician said that bypass would be best but I suppose surgeon Has the last say.xx

That's brilliant what was your bmi at referral did they say anything about you dropping below bmi of 40 and how long did they give you to lose the target weight xx

Hi all I'm jus curious if there are any of u out there that didn't have to do tier 3. Iv been referred straight to surgeon at Walsall manor will have first appointment 4 week from today. The letter and chats with secretary lead me to believe that this is for surgery and not tier 3. Iv been working with gp for years to lose weight and tried different medication. Is it down to the gp to decide if you need tier 3 or if you have done enough with them to go straight to surgical team think what they call tier 4? Kirsty xx

Kirsty I am so delighted for you!!

I know Lisa I was so relieved when the specialist nurse called yesterday and said I'm definitely having op and don't have to do tier 3 and the whole process will take a minimum of 6 months. I can't wait . How are you getting on what's your total weight loss since sleeve
