my wife was interested in a gastric band on the nhs, and they told her, they take out more gastric bands than they do putting them in, she was advised to have a bypass or sleeve, whether or not they remove bands because they are a bit hit or miss, i don't know, but they would not think about putting a band in.

I believe it's around £6000 privately with the cost increasing to upto £11,000 for revision surgery.
Can your GP refer you to a Bariatric Team?
If you are having problems the NHS may be able to help you
