Am a serial yo-yo dieter, 13st 10 and 5' 3". I enquired with Healthier Weight about having a gastric balloon so as to loose about 2.5 stones, and they advised me that I qualify for a gastric band with my Bmi.
I was suprised, but now that I have research the balloons I am slightly put off by the amount of people I have heard that regain the weight shortly after.
When paying for it privately I don't want to feel like it was a waste of money, I'm sure no who has any surgery wants to regain!
I wondered if there were any members with similar bmi who have had this done? I am 33 with no children but obviously want to have some one day, please God, would a band affect this?
I am in Birmingham and have had a nose at Dolan Park website which appears to be a little cheaper than healthier weight - I'm just trying to work out if it is drastic action for me to have a band at the mo.
