BUGS BUNNY

New Member
Hi e1

I am a very large busted lady and I want to gently ease myself into some light jogging to help boost my weight loss. now the problem I have is where I am large on top, after a few mins its very painful and hence they bounce up and down (sorry if sounds rude) (lol) quite a lot and its very painful. I have tried some sports bras but this has not been helpful at all........Can anyone suggest any thing/tips they have tried to help soothe this problem.

Thank you - shell

You might be able to get a bra called the shock absorber in your size? Just Google shockabsorber bra and it'll direct you to some websites. Hope that helps?

Shock absorber bra's are great but they dont come in particularly large sizes Im afraid - upto a 40" I think. You might get a better range online but the sports shops such as JJB only tend to stock smaller sizes.

They are very good at holding everything in place!

Good luck - hope they do your size.

Hiya

I would have to agree with the person who said put two bras on. A good sports bra keeps your boobs close to your body and reduces the movement, so if you put another one over the top of that, double loading :)p), I should think that will help. I got my sports bra from Marks and Sparks, and I also picked up one in America, and when I first started jogging wore both. My bust size has gone down , by at least 2 inches since I had my op, and now I am down to wearing just one bra. My cup size has not changed tho :)cry::cry:).
Do you run on a treadmill or outside? There seems to be less impact all around if you do your jogging on a treadmill.
Regards and good luck.

I am a 32JJ and I wear two sports bras from Bravissimo. Worth the expense.

I used to wear a normal bra with an 8 Inch crepe bandage wound over the top quite firmly. It used to be really comfortable and kept eveything in place and was a lot cheaper than specialist sports bras that i couldnt get in my size 46gg

2 sports bras def do the job for me! One thing though, and you may already be doing this so sorry if I am telling you something you already know.... I hired a personal trainer 6 weeks before my op to improve my health and help lose weight before the op and they told me something I could not believe. Building up muscles (by doing weights, lunges, squats) is better for losing weight than just going for a run or CV work. After an hour of weights and muscle work (don't get me wrong I am still panting like mad) not only impoves muscle tone, increase metaboism AND this is the best bit you continue to burn calories for up to 2hrs after the session as well!!! So if it is weight loss you are after then consider this as an option if you're not already doing so.
