can you drink two much coffee

Can you drink two much coffee? Since i had the bypass the only drink i like is coffee, i dont know why, will it do me any harm? I drink about 8 mugs a day. anyone else had this problem? xx

I am a big coffee lover, and only yesterday found myself buzzing after drinking too much. This is a stimulant so i would say yes you can have too much of a good thing.
I cant comment about coffee post surgery but would be very interested to hear from other members.

Stick to decaff!

It makes you more hungry too as the cafein stimulates your appetite. Cut back or drink decafe.

I think the caffeine has some effect on insulin levels hence the hunger thing. I know when I've been on low carb or very low cal liquid diets in the past caffeine has been banned. Decaf is fine

No caffine! i've switched to decaff latte, good way of getting protein.
