I have lost six stone since surgery in January. Last week I went to visit my son and his family. My six year old granddaughter chose a book to read to me and wanted to do it sat on my lap, which she did. Nothing remarkable about that you might say. Well it was the first time ever she has sat on my lap because I've never had one in her lifetime. It was hugely significant to me and felt amazing having that little body so close.

What have you been able to do that you couldn't do before your surgery that has brought tears to your eyes in a good way?

Too many things! And some things I don't realise until they are pointed out to me!

I completely understand the lap thing, my niece used to try and crawl/ climb onto my knee but used to slide off and tell me I wasn't comfy She is too big now to do that at 12 but there is now a lap there for her if she wants one! Lol!
