Chest infection - can excessive coughing damage band!

Apologies if this makes me sounds completely thick... :wave_cry:

I've got a chest infection. It's a horrible dry cough with, tickley and irritating.

Have been coughing a huge amount and someone I work with just asked if it could damage my band

I said 'no' but am now panicking.

Again, hope I don't sound stupid. I'm ill and just want to be in bed....

To quote myself, which smacks of narcissism, I had a terrible meaty cough immediately post surgery and I asked my surgeon about it and he assured me that it is stitched in so well a cough shouldn't bother it.

I think puking and coughing are different with different actions - so to speak - so you should be ok.

Oh thank you so much for replying! It was very quiet.
Cough is (finally) going... really hope I've not done any damage.

Read online sometimes persistent coughing is result of band being too tight as well... pretty sure this is a fully fledged chest infection though.
