Cutting back on WLS!

Anyone else see the Star Monday about cutting back on wls as too much money is being spent on it?Telling people to live healthy lifestyles instead of having surgery!!Panicking now after getting funding that any delays might result in me and others getting stopped from having a chance of surgery.

lol@Paul!! Funny you should mention this B&B as my hubby was talking about this last night....now I know what paper he reads at work!! lol

If you already have funding in place I wouldn't worry too much, they won't take it back! Good luck on your journey x

There was a short notice in the Mirror on Sunday that East Riding of Yorkshire were pulling funding for WLS too....

Also, yesterday there was an article in the Mirror about 'knifeless' WLS - where they put a tube down the throat and then pass cutting and stitching equipment down it to do the op. The article implied that this would be cheaper than keyhole/open surgery and patient could be sent home the same day.

I read also that they are working on a 'jab' that keeps you feeling full for up to 13 hours....

Mind you, you can never believe all that you read in the tabloids!

I am sure you will be ok B&B as you already have your funding in place so I would doubt they could withdraw it.
