Daily Sleeve Food Diaries - please add yours!

Thanks to everyone who's contributed to this thread, it EXACTLY the info I've been looking for as my dietician was the only one I felt let down by on my team- in fact she walked off twice saying she was going to get the post op diet info, never to be seen again.

This thread helps no end. :)

I hope some more people (other than the four regulars!) will add to it. Thank you please!

I'm soooo happy!
Had a visit with my surgeon, today, and he approved my diet plan. He said I was definetely eating the right things. He also allowed pasta and rice (from next week end and NO bread of any type included crisp, crackers or breadsticks), olive oil, eggs, fruit homemade icecream (should I buy an icecream maker?), fruit and raw vegetables.
Sooooo very happy to move slowly to solid stage!!!

Correct. That's what he told me today and didn't even tell me when I can introduce them. :-(

It depends on your provider - each one seems to be different. I was told not to introduce them until @ 6 weeks post op. But do follow what your provider says in the early stages - it's important for your recovery. It'll pass quickly and you'll be eating what you wish soon - just smaller portions :) x

Thanks Pooh.
I am actually following my provider's guidelines without even thinking of trying different foods. Today I tried my first lunch out and I felt quite weird having to leave 90% of my portion in my plate.

I ordered a veggie omelette and it came with two thin slices of mozzarella cheese. I only had about 10% of the omelette and 1 slice of mozzarella. 90% of my portion was wasted and I don't like wasting food so I'll keep packing my lunch instead of eating out.

Yes, I know what you mean. I also intend to avoid eating out until I can eat a starter! Don't want to waste money :)
