Scared is good, if you were going into this with no trepidation I would be worried. What I did was as Angie said, focus entirely on all the good things this op will bring you, and there are LOADS! You will be fine, the experts will look after you XX

my doctor said something to me and it stuck in my head before my surgery, there are more risks of death staying the size you are than having surgery so stay positive and all will be fine I even wrote letters to all my lovedones just incase and I tell you what you cry like a baby writing them but its fab to shread them after!!! Im 10 days post op and pre op i had my Supervisor at work keep telling me his wife knew a nurse who cared for Batriatic patients and basically some of the stories he had heard were not good... ( im sure he was just trying to put me off)

When i was just about to go into theatre the Surgeon was going on about the risks death ect..

I look at it this way, I may be very selfish..

I lost my dad 3 1/2 years ago he had a good life he was only 56. He saved up for a good retirement and didnt get chance to enjoy it.
I think everyone has a date they die and if your times up your a gonner wether its on the operating table or get run over by a bus..

Like i said im 10 days post op the first 3 days i thought what the hell have i had done, Now i feel GREAT def worth it...
