I'm currently just over 4 weeks post-op following my by-pass and have all in all been doing very well moving from fluids onto puree's and soon to be on lumpy foods...I'm the type of person who likes to review how it has all gone so far...And already I have arrived at how much the old mind plays in all of this journey...One area I have been trying hard to accept now is "how little" I can now digest as even 1/2 a kiddie meal or WW meal is like munching through a 32oz steak feast...For donkey's years my mind has allowed me to consume what I like BUT now with my reduced pouch boy is it hard...Again that's where the brain retraining come in for me and simply telling myself to accept this is now going to be the way......
Question for ALL of you much further down the "change-Road" than me....Do your taste buds change???....do you enjoy food in a different way now????....Does the bloating and fullness change???...
I do accept change as I would not have had my op if not BUT I just need a little reassurance at the moment....
