My noisy tummy provides hours of amusement for my 5 year old nephew who likes to press his ear against my stomach to get the full effect! My work colleagues have even been tempted to mention my tummy noises in work meeting minutes as it tends to happen quite a lot in early morning meetings. It's always at its noisest after a meal. Thankfully they all know about the op and laugh along with me.

It's a conversation starter, isn't it 
. I even had commuters speaking to each other on a packed London tube when we were stopped a tunnel for ages. I just said after a really long loud rumble, "it's my tummy" and that was an ice breaker for everyone to laugh. One of those surreal moments, commuters speaking on the tube
