Hi Bypass Bee, sounds like you are doing pretty well, you can always add protein to your diet, as a bypasser you really can't get too much protein. You might want to evaluate your calorie intake, it probably could be a little higher. I'm not really sure what advice you need, could you be more specific? Your weightloss is really good, you have lost way more then the stone a month I averaged early days so seems like you are on target!

Nic;)

Today
B - Peanut butter on wholemeal toast
D - jacket spud with chicken
T - half a white pitta with chicken and salad
dizzy as hell again today!!

Thanks nic, I usually get a bit more protein then those 2 days, I've only just started alowing myself pasta again.
I was told by the dietician I need startch but I know I struggled with carbs in the past.
I'm not sue how many cals I should aim for a day. I seem to have some days when I'm so so so hungry and some where I'm not at all.
Normally I get a bit. Of fruit each day also. I just wanted to know if I was on track :)

Sally, hope you don't mind me saying but you are loading up on carbs again. You might want to limit that a little, you had simple carbs twice in one day (spud & white pita).

You are definately on track with the weight loss. You should shoot for 600-800 cal per day. It is my personal opinion (I am not a dietician, doctor, etc) that a focus on complex carbs instead simple carbs is a healthy approach post-op. I feel that complex carbs (whole meal bread, fruits, some veg) are all the starch a person needs, so if I struggled with pasta I would just skip it all together. **Remember, this is just my opinion developed through my own experience and research, I would NEVER urge you to ignore or reject the advice of your own health professionals.

Nic;)

Thanks nic, when I do eat bread its wholewheat nimble (lower in carbs than normal bread) and I rarely eat pasta and rice but again its wholewheat :)

I'm about to sit down to home made beef stroganoff with cabbage and broccli... Sadly that's my first meal today, I had 3 slices of orange!
I got up late then went shopping.

Thanks for all the advice and this thread has helped no end (I've been reading it for ages, but only just got my blackberry so io can post)
