hi everyone just a quickie. just would like to know how long im supposed to keep my plasters on for? seems like a bit of a silly question but dont wanna take them off to early or look like a loony and leave them on too long.

I kept mine on for about a week after my op (open bypass)

after about 10 days my practice nurse checked mine and said to keep the plasters off

I never had any plasters! They glued me back together lol

i had my plaster on for a week, but had to change them during that time due to me getting them wet, i would advise do not get the ones from boots as when it came to take them off it felt like i was tearing my skin of it also left a horrible sticky mark to try and wash off was torture and left a very sore mark, the nurse checked them over and they are now fine. and well done on your wls all the best for a speedy recovery xxx

approx 7-10 days, i hope they gave you more to change daily, once there healed and theres no weaping you can leave them off, showers only though for now as soaking them in the bath risks infection x
