Having A Band On Holiday

BBS

Hi everyone,

I'm sure I've read somewhere that you have to have your band emptied before flying or at least have an amount taken out of your band.

Is this true?

I've got 7ml in a 14ml band (still not enough restriction, but don't want to pay £125 to get more put in, then £125 to have it removed to go on holiday after xmas, then £125 to have it put back in again!)

Any ideas or avice peeps?

Thanks
Rob

PS accidentaly posted this in the Chit Chat forum a minute ago! oops.

I went on honeymoon in September, no problems with the band.

I just did not eat on the plane and kept well hydrated.

I am going to New York in December and have been told I dont need to have anything emptied or any other messing about.

I was just told that the pressure of being in a plane could possibly make the band slightly tighter on landing but this would rectify itself after a few hours at a normal pressure/altitude.

If your really worried I would ask the people who did your band and take their advice, as all clinics give different advice.

I went on holiday after having a band fill and everything was fine :)
