does anyone know anyone who has had their band for more than 5 years who are still maintaining their weight loss and have had no problems with their band?
I've had my band for almost 5 years. It's been a roller coaster ride mainly due to receiving poor aftercare and poor advice from my provider. I had to have an op last year to have new tubing fitted because it had a kink in it. I lost 6.5 stone initially but have put a stone back on. However, have recently been having regular fills and am feeling much more positive as I can actually appreciate how much the band can help me when its filled. Aftercare is so important with a band.
