:wave_cry:Hi All

Well I had my band fitted on Tue 10 Mar with WLS Preston
All good but tell me about the pain from trapped wind
No problem with the stomach surgery but my collar bones are killing me
Trying to sip peppermint tea but this trapped wind is driving me crazy

Cheers

James

congratulations jim, welcome to the banders club !! try some gripe water its great for trapped wind, you can get it in the baby section of the chemist.

WElcome to the losing team jim, the gripe water works wonders, get the sugar free one and it is also available from supermarkets ect so send someone out fast LOL

also moving around will help you move the wind as well

Congrats...gripe water is brill stuff for tummy gripes and wind...always have a bottle in the cupboard ad my baby is 17!

Congratulations James I'm glad all went well. Look forward to hearing all about your weightlosses now. x

Glad the op went well Jim. As the others said, gripe water and moving about will shift the wind. Hope you are feeling better soon xxx

yup movement is also the key, potter around the house as the more you move the quicker the gas goes, if you dont move it wont shift.

I dont mind the sore tummy but OMG that wind pain in shoulder was bad

i hope the gripe water works, the gas pains will be because they blow you up like a balloon during surgery as it makes it easier for the surgeon to get the band in, the pressure from this has by the sounds of it also put pressure on the bones that have been broken in the past, take the gripe water, move around when you can and most of all take the prescribed meds on time. Each day will get better jim.
i hope you feel better soon.

james i hope your feeling better since you last posted !

Hope all is going well James, Steve AT WLS group told me they had banded someone (at the Preston hospital) from "minimins" during the week and that you had been telling them about us all on here...I just knew it had to be you :D

Hope the Gripe Water is helping
